Started in 2019, Keys Property Investment, LLC is a tiny ‘Ma and Pa’ kind of business. Not a huge corporation. No international investors. No HGTV Reality show gimmicks. Just a husband and wife - Kevin’s the Renovator and Beth’s the Real Estate Agent (ok, she does some of the painting also).

We bought our first house at auction – sight unseen - 5 acres in Whatcom county with a double-wide mobile, abandoned cars, and mountains of trash. Abandoned for 5 years after the owner passed - no one in the family wanted the property or the headaches it came with. Over time and through working with many properties, we have developed relationships with excellent contractors, electricians, plumbers, and junk haulers. We got licensed, learned how to donate old cars, remove trash ecologically, get correct building permits and prepare a property for sale. Old houses became homes.

Many of the properties we’ve bought come from bank auctions where families that didn’t know how to deal with an inherited house, especially those needing costly repairs. Some properties may still have a mortgage, some were in disrepair, and in some cases the family just didn’t have the energy to deal with it. We wished we could have helped those families before their properties went to foreclosure. In today’s real estate market many houses have financial equity; they can be sold and the owner/seller receives a profit from a sale. We want to help people who may be overwhelmed and support them in making informed decisions for their unique situation.
